September 2007:
We've moved all our website files over to a new domain server. There are still a few minor glitches to work out but we hope you'll find plenty of interest here.

At the start of things .......
September 2004: As we approach 2005 and the 200th anniversary of The Battle of Trafalgar and the death of Nelson we decided to create a new site, based on our previous Topsail Group site, covering the life and times of Admiral Lord Nelson and seafaring in his era.

Our main aims are :

• To make a site available to help young people in their studies and interests by offering quick and simple explanations and links to places to carry out more in-depth research
• To make the site work quickly and easily
• To answer questions from readers in a straightforward way
• To enjoy what we are doing
